Coatbridge Citizens Advice (CAB) are launching a new project funded by Independence UK which is dedicated to supporting older people.Research shows that the elderly are not claiming the benefits they may be entitled to, which is especially important for Pension Credit - an income-related benefit which can passport entitlement to other benefits such as the changes in the Winter Fuel payments, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction - as well as Attendance Allowance.Many people don’t know how to claim these benefits, may feel they won’t be entitled or don’t want to fill in long claim forms and that’s where CAB come in.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
