Chelsea have sacked manager Graham Potter after less than seven months in charge following Saturday's 2-0 defeat against Aston Villa.

The English coach was appointed on a five-year deal in September of last year, but he leaves the Blues having won just seven of his 22 Premier Leaguegames in charge.

Chelsea's loss against Aston Villa saw them drop to 11th in the top-flight table. Former Brighton defender Bruno has been appointed as interim head coach, with his first match being a home clash against Liverpool on Tuesday night. He has always conducted himself with professionalism and integrity and we are all disappointed in this outcome. "We have 10 Premier League games remaining and a Champions League quarter-final ahead.
