Chapelside Primary earns Unicef silver rights-respecting award

Pupils at a Lanarkshire school are celebrating after earning prestigious Unicef recognition that honours their work on human rights, and improving their school and community.Chapelside Primary in Airdrie gained silver status in the rights-respecting school programme, which highlights the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

It saw them take on a range of projects including creating a new school library, delivering hampers to St Andrew’s Hospice and arranging a weekly playtime plus new games and equipment.
