Chaos and crashes in Manchester Tour of Britain stage as DOG suddenly runs into road and in front of cyclists

Greater Manchester hosted the Tour of Britain Grand Départ on Sunday (September 3) with over 100 of the world's top riders setting off from Altrincham and riding a 163 km route around the region.
And excited crowds who were watching on as the cyclists made their way through the streets of Mossley at around 1.30pm suddenly gasped and screamed after a little dog was seen running out into the middle of the road. Video footage shared with the Manchester Evening News shows the tense moment a small dog, which was not on a lead, appears out of a side road just seconds after the police are seen passing as they lead the route along Huddersfield Road.
The dog is then briefly seen moving of the way of the oncoming group of professional cyclists, before suddenly running back out again and causing huge screams and gasps from horrified bystanders.
