A car erupted into flames after it was ploughed into a house in Salford. Emergency services descended on Withycombe Place shortly after 12am to reports of the collision.
Fire crews along with police attended the incident following a report of a car on fire that had smashed into an end terraced home.
One witness told the Manchester Evening News that neighbours were temporarily left without electricity and gas and that the front of the home had been 'destroyed'. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At around 12.15am today (Sunday April 28) three fire engines from Salford and Broughton fire stations were called to reports of a car on fire which had crashed into an end of terrace house on Withycombe Place, Salford. “Firefighters used a covering jet and a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
