Boyzone's Keith Duffy kids 'distraught and devastated' as dog of 15 years dies
ok.co.ukBoyzone star Keith Duffy has opened up on a tragedy within his family after the death of his dog, who sadly passed away.The singer said the loss of the family pooch had also left his children Jay, who is a 25 year old Hollyoaks actor, and Mia, 23, "distraught and devastated".The 48 year old star announced the news on Instagram with a number of sweet snaps of his dog Lenny.
In one image, the pup lay posing on a cuddly high pile grey rug. In another, he cosied up to the family on a brown blanket, as a third showed the dog looking older and wrapped up in towels.
Keith captioned the post: "My children are absolutely distraught and devastated this morning as their best friend of nearly 15 years, their doggie Lenny. "Len Len, passed away and is now gone to doggie heaven." The Irish singer went on to say how important Lenny was to their family, saying the loss was unbearable for everyone who loved him. "He was such a huge part of our family and played a vital role as their best friend as they grew up," the boyband star continued. "It’s amazing how human-like he was." Keith also reflected how Lenny had always been by his children's side when they were "sad or unwell" and called his beloved canine a "huge support mechanism" for the family. "All life is precious, even our pets.
