BBC Gladiators fans point out 'major downgrade' from 90s show after 2024 champions crowned

Viewers tuned into BBC's Gladiators on Saturday to get their final fix of the revived game show. Saturday's show saw the finalists - Finlay Anderson and Wesley Male, and Marie-Louise Nicholson and Bronte Jones - take on the Gladiators in a bid to be crowned the 2024 champions.

After competing in a range of games, Marie-Louise and Bronte were the first to take on eachother in the Eliminator, with Marie-Louise beating her opponent and being crowned the winner.

Finlay and Wesley then went head-to-head with Finlay finishing first and winning the contest. It has now been confirmed by the BBC that, after a successful reboot with impressive viewing figures, Gladiators will return for a second season.

Although it has not yet been announced whether hosts Bradley and Barney Walsh will be returning to front the show.
