BBC Gladiators fans point out 'major downgrade' from 90s show after 2024 champions crowned

Saturday's show saw the finalists - Finlay Anderson and Wesley Male, and Marie-Louise Nicholson and Bronte Jones - take on the Gladiators in a bid to be crowned the 2024 champions.
After competing in a range of games, Marie-Louise and Bronte were the first to take on eachother in the Eliminator, with Marie-Louise beating her opponent and being crowned the winner.
Finlay and Wesley then went head-to-head with Finlay finishing first and winning the contest. It has now been confirmed by the BBC that, after a successful reboot with impressive viewing figures, Gladiators will return for a second season.
Although it has not yet been announced whether hosts Bradley and Barney Walsh will be returning to front the show.
