Shine, marked the directorial debut of Ishana Night Shyamalan, the daughter of “Sixth Sense” director M. Night Shyamalan. Variety called the movie, which is slated to earn $7 million this weekend, “a reasonably well-made lost-in-the-woods horror movie.”“The Garfield Movie,” which was in first place last Friday, fell to third, with $2.85 million in sales.
It is on track to enjoy a $10.3 million third weekend, according to Deadline.“IF” moved down a notch to fourth, with $2.3 million in revenue in its fourth weekend in theaters.“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” also dropped one place to fifth, with a $1.5 million dollar take..
