Green-thumbed enthusiasts are tackling the common issue of waterlogged lawns, which can wreak havoc on your garden's turf and lead to algae and fungal problems - and after Manchester's rainy start to the week, this hack could save your garden.
The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) explains that compacted soil is often the culprit, resulting from construction activities or regular foot traffic.
The RHS further notes that heavy clay soils and inadequate soil preparation prior to laying the lawn can exacerbate the problem, stripping the soil and grass of essential nutrients and causing root damage and unsightly patches.
