Lee Bullen last night vowed to battle through Ayr's poor start to the season after a fourth defeat on the spin against Falkirk in the Trust Trophy at Somerset.
United failed to land a glove on the League One side on a tough night, which left Bullen admitting he is fighting to mould his new-look side into a unit.
An entirely new midfield has been thrown together following the early season turmoil of losing Ben Dempsey, Andy Murdoch and Jamie Murphy to injury.
And with loan signings Jay Senga, Jack Young and Roy Syla all handed starts last night, Bullen admits performances may not be produced overnight.He said: "We've got three boys in the middle of the park who've probably got three or four senior appearances in their career.
