Since sharing the news that he will be welcoming his second child, Ashley has opened up about the guilt he feels during an appearance on Good Morning Britain - however, this hasn't stopped some social media users from brutally trolling the former footballer.
Ashley has now issued a length statement on Instagram as he hits back at the cruel comments. He wrote: "This isn't a post for sympathy, it's a post to say it how it is.. "I am a man that went through a tragic 6 month battle with my daughter fighting cancer.
