Ant McPartin's ex Lisa Armstrong shares emotional tribute to dog a year after custody battle

Lisa Armstrong recently took to Instagram to share a sweet tribute to her dog Hurley, whom she shares with her ex-husband Ant McPartlin.The singer-turned-make-up artist shared a sketch of a hand holding a paw from Lady Bug Art.The sketch included the quote: "Thank you for being my dog, someone to do life with, and above all, thank you for being my best friend." Lisa shared the artwork alongside a trio of prayer hands.The post comes just one year after Lisa and Ant became embroiled in a brutal custody battle over Hurley, four years after signing their divorce papers.

In the years since the divorce, Ant and Lisa have still been battling it out over custody of Hurley. Following their split, the former flames had agreed to share custody of the dog, but last year Lisa decided she wanted Hurley with her full-time.

At the time, a source told Mail Online: "Lisa has asked to have Hurley but Ant is saying no. He has two more dogs now, a new wife and two stepdaughters, but still he wants joint custody. "It has led to some difficult conversations between Ant and Lisa.

It’s all very sad. Ant has been able to move on, get remarried and get two more dogs. Lisa has been left to pick up the pieces." At the time of their split, Ant had reportedly said that his ex could have "anything she wants" – except for Hurley.
