ABC Axes 'Home Economics' After 3 Seasons
justjared.comABC has decided to cancel Home Economics. The series, which starred Topher Grace, Jimmy Tatro and Cailtin McGee and their “sibling relationship: one in the 1%, one middle-class and one barely holding on.” Variety reports that the show had been a solid sitcom for the network but had been on the bubble between renewal and cancellation following the season three finale in January.
At the same time, ABC announced that Kaitlin Olson starrer High Potential will join the lineup, and debut in 2024.
The show is based on the French series Haut Potentiel Intellectuel (HPI), and focuses on a “single mom with an exceptional mind, whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective (Daniel Sunjata).” Following Home Economics‘ cancellation, there’s only one more show still on the bubble.
