A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed on behalf of Aaron Carter's two-year-old son, Princeton lyric Carter. Almost one year after the singer died in the bath of his California home, his son Princeton is now suing his former doctors and the pharmacy who prescribed him medication.
The star died age 34, in November 22, when he drowned in the bath after taking prescription generic Xanax and inhaling compressed difluoroethane, which is the propellant used in cans of compressed air.
Aaron Carter left behind his ex-fiancee Melanie Martin and his son, who was 11 months old at the time of his death. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the lawsuit names his doctors as well as Walgreens pharmacy, claiming the quantities and type of drugs along with Carter’s known psychiatric issues should been cause for concern for the pharmacy.
Documents seen by the lawsuit claim doctors prescribed Carter Hydrocodone, Oxycodone and Alprazolam with no medical justification and being aware of Carter’s ‘mental health and psychiatric condition.’ It claims the drug use would have clouded Carter’s judgement and the suit, filed by Melanie on behalf of her son, seeks unspecified damages for wrongful death.
