The Princess of Wales has paid tribute to her husband after revealing that she is undergoing treatment for cancer. In a shock announcement this evening, Kate Middleton said the disease was discovered after she underwent abdominal surgery in January.
The type of cancer has not been revealed, but it's understood Kate has been undergoing preventative chemotherapy since late February.
In a moving video message to the nation, the 42-year-old described the diagnosis as a 'huge shock' and said she and her husband, Prince William, have been doing what they can to manage the situation "for the sake of our young family". Paying tribute to her husband, who she married back in 2011, Kate said: "Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance too.
