Plans to erect a fence around the 'second Hampden Park' by a youth football club have sparked controversy as they look to preserve Scottish sporting history for the next generation.Cathkin Park, known as the second Hampden, once held 50,000 spectators to watch top-quality Scottish sports from Queen’s Park and Third Lanark games to boxing title fights involving the great Benny Lynch.The first game held at the ground after Third Lanark folded in 1967 was a two-nil win for Cambuslang Rangers over Rutherglen Glencairn.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
