X Factor star announces engagement to friend of 10 years as they share wedding date

Lucy, who is set to marry in June, announced on Instagram that she is engaged and "so thankful that the universe gave me to you." The 32 year old, who was a contestant on the hit singing show in 2012, told elated fans her happy Easter news, and shared that "when you know, you know." The singer also showcased a stunning carousel of professional engagement photos of the pair.
Lucy added: "'That's a phrase I really thought I understood throughout my life, that I believed I had a full appreciation of but… It wasn't until I fell in love with my friend of 10 years that I truly felt it." In January 2024, the loved-up pair announced that they had fallen for one another, both sharing public posts about their unexpected, but wonderful, romance.
Lucy has made no secret of her love and appreciation for Emilia, posting on social media about the moment she realised her feelings were deeper than just a friendship level.
