Trilith Studios near Atlanta took their own life on Wednesday morning, according to the local police. Officers found the worker in a vehicle with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, said Capt.

Austin Dunn of the Fayetteville Police Department. The incident was reported at 6:47 a.m. “Evidence collected revealed no suspicion of foul play, nor is the investigation connected to any ongoing studio projects,” Dunn said in a statement.

The news began circulating among film crew in Atlanta, one of the most popular hubs for Hollywood productions. Some crew identified the worker as a Teamster, though that had not been confirmed.

The police statement referred to the worker as a “contractor.” Reached by phone, a Teamster business agent in Atlanta said he would not comment “at this time.” Located near the Atlanta airport, Trilith is a sprawling 1,000-acre campus comprised of sound stages, workshops, offices and backlots and is considered the nation’s largest purpose-built studio complex.
