Woman arrested over death of man in Renfrew as second suspect faces murder charge

Police investigating the death of a man who was found seriously injured in a Renfrew street have now arrested a woman in connection.A 34-year-old male suspect has already appeared in court charged with murder following the death of Sean Dock in the town’s Tennant Street.Emergency services were called at around 4.20pm on Saturday, May 13, to reports of an injured person before the 35-year-old was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.Derek Docherty made no plea during a private hearing at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday and was remanded in custody.Police Scotland have now confirmed that they have also arrested a 33-year-old woman.A statement from the force said: “Around 4.20 pm on Saturday, 13 May 2023, police received a report of an injured man on Tennant Street in Renfrew.

Officers attended and a 35-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene."A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death.

He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday 15 May 2023."A 33-year-old woman has also been arrested in connection with the death and enquiries are continuing."
