When the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip passed away last April, it was confirmed he would not be buried until the Queen's own death.
After the news of the monarch's death on Thursday, September 8, there are already a number of plans in place for her funeral.

Plans started to be put in place for the Queen's burial after the Duke of Edinburgh's death, which stated that they would be buried together.Now that the Queen has died, they will both be laid to rest alongside her parents, George VI and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, as well as The Queen’s sister Margaret, who died in 2002.After the funeral service, which will take place at Westminster Abbey, the Queen will be laid to rest with her husband.They will be buried at the King George VI Memorial Chapel within St George’s, where many other royals and previous monarchs have been laid to rest.Since his death last year, the Duke of Edinburgh's body has been kept in the Royal Vault within St George's Chapel.
