Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will not take up his usual touchline position this weekend when the Reds travel to Everton in the Premier League.
Ten Hag was issued an automatic one-game ban prior to the international break after picking up his third yellow card of the campaign against Luton Town.
Under new roles this season, a manager only needs to pick up three bookings to earn a touchline ban, reduced from last season's four to try and prevent misconduct from the sidelines.
One rule change for this season also prevented managers who are sent off during a match to watch the game from the stands. However, as MEN Sport understands, Ten Hag will be allowed to complete this and a number of his other functions at Goodison Park.
