BBC Strictly Come Dancing couples could be hit by 'curse' during Musicals week

The 2023 run of the BBC One dance contest reaches the quarter-final stages on Saturday night (December 2). The Glitterball trophy is now very much in sight and this weekend, they'll be bringing the theatrics of the stage to the ballroom with the return of the much-loved Musicals week.
Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola will perform a Quickstep to 'Belle' from Beauty and the Beast as Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe will Foxtrot to 'For Good' from Wicked and Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin will perform a Paso Doble to 'Backstage Romance' from Moulin Rouge. But new research from William Hill Vegas has revealed that none of the previous nine contestants who claimed the top score in the quarter-finals of Strictly have gone on to win the series, giving prominence to an emerging "quarter-final curse" ahead of this weekend’s show.
