Erik ten Hag dropped Maguire early last season and he was used sparingly throughout the campaign. Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane have emerged as Ten Hag's first choice central defender partnership.
Victor Lindelof is next in line and Luke Shaw has also played in that position ahead of Maguire.
