A much-loved street party scheduled to take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend has been postponed. Party for the People III, a free music event, was due to be held in Withington and hosted by Cafe Blah and the vegan ice cream bar Ice Shack, but has been postponed by organisers due to 'numerous setbacks'.

Those behind the annual event said in an update that its 'temporary events license' was 'rejected' by Greater Manchester Police due to resource around Manchester Pride.

Speaking to the parties involved, The Manchester Evening News understands that the temporary events notice needed for the event to go ahead was filed too late and organisers are now looking to reschedule to a later date.
