Man, 71, arrested after 'deplorable' act in middle of Greater Manchester street

A pensioner has been arrested after exposing himself on a Greater Manchester street. Officers were called out to Nel Pan Lane, in Leigh, at 4.20pm on Wednesday (September 4).

Police soon arrested a 71-year-old man near to the the scene on suspicion of indecent exposure. He remains in police custody for questioning this morning (Thursday).

The incident has been described as 'deplorable' by Greater Manchester Police. Officers will be patrolling the Nel Pan Lane area today following the incident to provide reassurance to the community.
