Virgin Media has issued a new Wi-Fi alert, urging customers to check their routers now for a free broadband boost. With many of us still working from home and spending countless hours streaming TV and music online, a good broadband connection is essential.

Slow internet can be incredibly annoying, but Virgin believes there are some simple ways to improve your service for free, starting with checking your router."If a weak WiFi signal has got you frustrated, help is at hand!

Lots of things can affect the performance of your Virgin Media broadband, but moving your Hub or router, as it's also known is a good place to start if you want to give your signal a bit of juice," Virgin explained in a recent message sent to users.Firstly, make sure your router isn't hidden away in a cupboard.
