University students to benefit from improved bus service thanks to Lanarkshire group

Strathaven and Stonehouse university students will be able to get to their classes a little easier thanks to an improved bus timetable from an environmental group.Climate Action Strathaven (CAS) announced the expansion of their 3C bus service, which will see even more journeys to and from Scotland’s largest cities.The new timetable kicks off on August 9 with an increase in journeys in the morning with the final bus leaving North Hanover Street in Glasgow from 9.15pm from Monday to Saturday.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Posting on the group’s Facebook page, Climate Action Strathaven state: “Calling all Glasgow students! From August 9, there’ll be six morning runs in to Glasgow on the 3C bus, so you’ll be able to pick your journey to make the most of your time at home, and time in Glasgow, limiting waiting for you. “And with six runs back in the afternoon, there’ll be a bus waiting for you at 15 minutes past the hour, when you finish your lecture, library visit, or social time with friends.“CAS did this in response to feedback from students and others about how to improve the 3C bus service.“We want to make it as easy as possible for you to choose bus.
