UCP is teaming with Side Naegle, Jenna Bush Hager’s Thousand Voices and Ali Krug’s Dinner Party Productions to develop a series adaptation of Chris Whitaker’s new novel All the Colors of the Dark.
Sarah Gubbins (Pam & Tommy, Better Things) will adapt the project. Executive producers are Naegle, Krug, Hager, Ben Spector (President of Thousand Voices)and Whitaker, who also wroteTall Oaks, All the Wicked Girls and We Begin at the End.
The story take place in the small town of Monta Clare, Missouri, where an abduction of a teenage girl is intercepted by the most unlikely hero.
As a result, the lives of all involved are set on an unusual trajectory. Patch, a one-eyed local boy who fancies himself a pirate, saves the girl and, in doing so, leaves heartache in his wake.
