Two people dead and man fighting for life after horror crash in Fife

Two bikers have died and a third is in critical condition following a horror crash in Fife. Emergency services rushed to the A914 between Balmullo and Dairsie on Monday, August 14, to reports of a serious road traffic accident involving two motorbikes.A 72-year-old man who was on a red Honda WM motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 64-year-old woman who was also on the bike at the time of the crash was rushed to Ninewells Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after.The 62-year-old rider of a black Yamaha Custom V Twin motorcycle was taken to Ninewells Hospital where he remains.

His condition has been described by medics as 'critical'.The road was closed for several hours to allow officers to investigate the collision.

It has since reopened.Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time or has dash cam footage to come forward and assist with their enquiries.Inspector James Henry of Fife Road Policing said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of those who died and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
