This Morning led an emotional and heartbreaking tribute to former contributor Matty Lock following the news of his tragic passing at the age of 19.

Tributes for the teen have been flooding in and on Monday's show, Holly Willoughby and co-host Dermot O'Leary addressed Matty's death as they paid tribute to the tech enthusiast live on the flagship ITV programme.The hosts spoke of his love of vacuum cleaners from the age of only two and how he had been such a loved guest as Holly remembered the joy he brought to the studio.

At only 13 years old, he sold around 300 machines to cleaning companies, private homeowners and even his schoolteachers.Dermot said: "We've got some heartbreaking and horrible news to share with you this morning.

One of the This Morning family members Matty Lock passed away this weekend," as Holly added: "He was a much-loved member of This Morning family and never failed to bring joy to our studio, with an infectious passion for technology and gadgets, which was truly unique."Gyles Brandeth described Matty's passing as "shocking", according to the Mirror, whilst Holly said he would be missed by everyone on the show. "We send our deepest condolences to his family," Holly added.This Morning shared an official tribute to Matty on social media over the weekend, as they wrote on X on Sunday: "Everyone at This Morning is shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Matty Lock, aged just 19.
