Trio of active travel projects in North Lanarkshire to benefit from investment package

News that the Scottish Government is to provide £1.75million in funding for three new active travel projects in North Lanarkshire has been warmly welcomed by Gillian Mackay MSP.The Central Scotland representative, who is based in Motherwell, is delighted that the projects for walking, wheeling and cycling are to receive the funding as part of a new £20million Scottish Government investment package for councils, Regional Transport Partnerships and National Park Authorities.

It comes on top of £35million which already goes direct to local authorities for active travel.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
