Tributes have been paid to a mum and a three-year-old boy who died in a horror crash on the A180 motorway. Nicola Courtney, 34, and her toddler Lucas Page were travelling along the motorway near Immingham in North East Lincolnshire in a blue Ford Focus on Friday night, HullLive reports.

Police believe that the car broke down in a live lane. A driver said they swerved around the 'stranded' car at around 8.45pm and reported it to police.

At 9.06pm, a white articulated lorry collided with the stationary car and tragically, Nicola and Lucas died at the scene.
