Tragedy as dad, 28, dies after car hits him in M62 horror crash
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA 28-year-old dad who tragically died after a car hit him on the M62 has been named as his family pay emotional tribute to him.
John Welsh died after the collision on Thursday (July 27), where it was reported that a silver Skoda Octavia had hit a pedestrian on the motorway between junction 7 and junction 6.
Emergency services raced to the incident shortly before midnight, where John was treated by paramedics but later pronounced dead at the scene. Merseyside Police say all of them have assisted detectives in understanding the full circumstances of what happened. Road closures remained in place for a number of hours on the westbound carriageway near Rainhill afterwards for collision investigation work to take place.
