Tommy Wirkola Shark Thriller ‘Beneath the Storm’ Starring Phoebe Dynevor Lands August 2025 Release
variety.comKatcy Stephan “Violent Night” director Tommy Wirkola‘s next project is shaping up. His shark thriller has now been titled “Beneath the Storm” and is set to be released theatrically Aug.
1, 2025 via Columbia Pictures. The film, written by Wirkola, stars Phoebe Dynevor (“Bridgerton,” “Fair Play”), Whitney Peak (“Gossip Girl,” “Hocus Pocus 2”) and Djimon Hounsou (“Rebel Moon,” “A Quiet Place: Day One”) and is produced by Adam McKay and Kevin Messick.
Wirkola’s previous directorial credits include “Dead Snow,” “Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters” and “What Happened to Monday.” Dynevor, best known for her star turn as Daphne Bridgerton in Netflix’s hit series “Bridgerton,” has also appeared in films such as “The Colour Room,” “Bank of Dave” and “Fair Play.” She received a BAFTA Rising Star Award nomination in 2024.
