East Kilbride boss Mick Kennedy reckons Saturday’s 3-2 SPFL Trust Trophy win over Cove Rangers proves they’ve been unlucky against senior teams this season.Kilby took the lead three minutes into the third round tie at K-Park through former Motherwell kid Adam Livingstone, with veteran Mitch Megginson levelling for Cove in 14 minutes.It looked like the tie was heading for penalties until Myles Gaffney netted for the League One club in 84 minutes.But Jack Leitch levelled for East Kilbride three minutes later, with ex-Hamilton Accies and Airdrie striker Steven Boyd popping up with a winner three minutes into stoppage time.Kilby were thumped 8-0 by Airdrie in their Premier Sports Cup group, but beat Dumbarton on penalties and lost to both Queen of the South and Premiership side Aberdeen.Kennedy reckons they competed well in most of those games, but came up short, until Saturday.He said: “I’m delighted with the performance.
