Thousands of Shell Energy customers will receive an extra £150 payment from Wednesday (March 15). Those who were paid the Warm Home Discount this year will be eligible and it means struggling households will have been given an extra £300 from the energy supplier this winter.
Customers who are eligible for the payment won't need to apply for it, Shell Energy said. The £150 will either be applied directly to your energy account or if you have a smart prepayment meter you will get the money as an automatic top-up.
If you are on a traditional prepayment meter, you will receive a voucher, reports the Mirror.
