Tanisha opened up about the harrowing time when her father Mario was diagnosed with esophageal cancer when she was just fourteen, the Mirror reports.Despite enduring chemotherapy and radiotherapy for nine months, his life could sadly not be saved. .

Following Mario's passing, Tanisha's family received support from Thames Hospice, a beneficiary of BBC Children in Need funds, who assisted them through their grief.

The care that she experienced inspired Tanisha to offer support to other youngsters grappling with similar losses.
