A Scots mum who was killed when a car believed to be travelling the wrong way on the M6 crashed into them head-on has been named locally.
Jade McEnroe, 33, from Glasgow, was pronounced dead alongside a 42-year-old man and two boys, aged 15 and seven, on the motorway in Cumbria at around 4pm on Tuesday.
Emergency services, including two air ambulances, were called to the two-vehicle smash, involving a Skoda and Toyota, northbound just past Tebay services in England.Cumbria Police received a report that the Skoda had been travelling southbound on the northbound carriageway.
Officers were en route when further calls were received it had been involved in a head-on collision with the Toyota.The 40-year-old driver of the Skoda was pronounced dead at the scene.
