ITV’s true crime drama details the manhunt for fugitive gunman Raoul Moat that gripped the nation in 2010. The Hunt for Raoul Moat reaches its conclusion tonight (April 18), wrapping up the tragic story of the killer and his victims.

Moat, 37, led police on a huge manhunt in July 2010 after a shooting spree left one person dead. Hundreds of police officers were tasked with tracking the on-the-run killer, who was thought to be sleeping rough around Northumberland.

The former bouncer evaded capture for a week until police tracked him down and engaged in a tense six-hour stand-off. Moat’s attack began when he gunned down his former partner’s new boyfriend outside a house in Birtley, a town in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.
