'The Acolyte' Surpasses 'The Mandalorian' As Most Expensive 'Star Wars' Series

If you didn’t know, the show has been in the works for about four years now, with Amandla‘s casting announced just two years ago.
Now that it’s out, it has been revealed that the Disney+ series had quite the big budget, surpassing that of the biggest Star Wars show, The Mandalorian. If you split that between each episode, it comes to about $22.5 million per episode, making it one of the most expensive TV shows to produce.
