Supermarket worker's colleagues, friends and family complete 10k for Lanarkshire charity

Supermarket staff raised thousands of pounds recently for a Lanarkshire charity in memory of a dearly-missed colleague.Family and friends of Kerry Hutchison from Blantyre gathered along with her former colleagues at Sainsbury’s in Hamilton to complete the “10k The Kerry Way” walk.

Kerry had worked at the store for 15 years.They raised £2,347 for The Haven, which has centres in Blantyre, Wishaw and Forth.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The walk received overwhelming support from the local community as passer-by’s gave well-wishes and encouragement, and an overwhelming amount of generous donations have poured in from those who knew Kerry, and others wanting to support a good cause.Paul
