She fought them off with her feet and took shelter on a rock.“I could see the bites on my legs and knew I had been bitten on my butt — that one was the worst, but I couldn’t see it,” Finn told the outlet. “The bites really hurt.”Finn — who played Lauren Pawson in the Season 4 “America Decides” episode of “Succession” — was treated at the Tahoe Forest Hospital in Truckee.Otter bites are typically rare, with only 59 documented attacks worldwide since 1875, according to the Daily Montanan.
Otter behavior expert Heide Island, a professor at Pacific University in Oregon, noted to the outlet that the animal can sometimes become aggressive if it’s trying to protect its area, children or food.And, in June and July, otter moms tend to teach their pups how to fend for themselves, including how to swim.
