Strictly stars pay tribute to ‘brilliant’ Len Goodman after his death at 78

It's a sad day for the Strictly Come Dancing family after the announcement of the untimely death of former judge Len Goodman.

Len first became a judge on the BBC show in 2004 – becoming well-known for his catchphrase “Seven!” – and made his final appearance on the 2016 Christmas Day special.

The news of his death came on Monday April 24 in a statement released by his agent that read: “It is with great sadness to announce that Len Goodman has passed away peacefully, aged 78. “A much-loved husband, father and grandfather who will be sorely missed by family, friends and all who knew him.” And his fellow Strictly stars have since shared their condolences as they reflected on their "brilliant" friend.The dancer and choreographer, originally from East London, was diagnosed with bone cancer and died on Saturday night.

Bruno Tonioli, 67, said his heart was “broken”, and wrote on Instagram: “I will treasure the memory of our incredible adventures and hundreds of shows we did together @‌bbcstrictly @dancingwiththestars .They will never be anyone like you.
