Oti Mabuse, who announced in late August that she expecting her first child with her husband Marius Lepure, has now opened up about suffering from a painful condition which she says is “very frustrating.’ Taking to Instagram to share a video of herself working out, the former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer opened up about having Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD), which is also known as pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain (PGP).

According to the NHS, this is “a collection of uncomfortable symptoms caused by a stiffness of your pelvic joints or the joints moving unevenly at either the back or front of your pelvis.” In her video, the 33 year old can be seen working out in red leggings and a long-sleeve leopard print shirt.

She wrote in the caption about how her symptoms have impacted her ability to do physical activity: "I completely fell off the bandwagon with my fitness and I immediately could feel it when I went back. "My core strength was not what it was, my balance was off and my ability to hold certain positions was gone. The pain started really slow but at night while sleeping would intensify (I’m not wearing a belt yet but as weeks go on I definitely will).

Aside from physiotherapy exercises, I still try to continue to stay active in any way that is not painful.” She continued by saying that she remains positive and is “taking it slow and breathing through everything. "My level of activity depends on how severe my SPD is that day.
