Greater Manchester is set to be battered over the next few days as a 'danger to life' warning has been issued for the region.

A yellow weather warning will be in place from midday on Sunday, January 21 to midday on Monday, January 22 and covers the entire county.

It means gusts of up to 55mph could cause injury and endanger life from flying debris. The Met Office says there could also be disruption to travel, damage to buildings and power cuts.

You can track the storm’s progress using our map here. The weather service says the cold snap that has seen the UK experience sub-zero temperatures overnight for four days in a row is giving way to a shift in weather dynamics.
