Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction
Storm Ashley causes travel chaos with flights diverted to Manchester as 'danger to life' severe warning issued
manchestereveningnews.co.ukStorm Ashley caused travel disruption as high winds and rain battered the UK on Sunday (October 20). Forecasters issued 'severe' weather warnings for much of the UK with heavy rain and 80mph winds wreaking havoc.
A 'danger to life' warning was issued in the first named storm of the season which the Met Office also said was 'likely to bring a threat of injuries'.
Amber weather warnings were put in place in Northern Ireland until 8pm and north-west Scotland until midnight. Further yellow weather warnings were put in place which cover Scotland, Northern Ireland, north-west England and north Wales until midnight.
The warning will stay in place for northern Scotland until 9am on Monday.
