EXCLUSIVE: Award-winning Star Wars VFX veteran Joseph Kasparian, whose recent credits include The Mandalorian and Andor, is joining Montreal-based VFX studio RodeoFX in the role of Executive Visual Effects Supervisor.

Highlights of Kasparian’s 27-year career include shaping the visual landscape of features such as Jurassic World, Warcraft and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Kasparian arrives at RodeoFX from Hybride where he was Creative Vice-President and worked on every Star Wars movie and series since 2015, winning an Emmy in 2021 for his work on season two of The Mandalorian, and garnering a nomination for Rogue One prequel Andor. “Constantly reinventing yourself is essential due to the evolution of technology.

I’ve always been forward-thinking, looking ahead to what’s next. Rodeo feels like a natural progression for me,” said Kasparian. “It goes beyond visual effects, it’s about entertainment as a whole and how I can share the craft and the knowledge I’ve developed these past 25+ years with incredible people.” Kasparian will join The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings of Power VFX supervisor Ara Khanikian in overseeing RodeoFX’s team of 16 VFX supervisors, with the support of founder and CEO Sebastien Moreau and Jordan Soles, VP of Development & Innovation.
