A Wishaw church is hosting a summer fair later this month in a bid to raise cash for its foodbank which has seen demand rocket in recent months.

South Wishaw Parish Church members will be hosting the event later this month.Over the past few months demand for the foodbank has rocketed while donations have dropped.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

If anything it is getting worse.”The summer fair will be held at the church on Saturday, June 15, with a whole host of stalls and good food on offer.As well as the foodbank, money raised will also go towards the church’s new recovery hub and its children and families worker along with all the usual upkeep expenses for a busy church.Mari added: “There will be plenty for people to come along and there is still spaces for other stallholders to get involved.“It’s always a big fundraiser for
