ISIS claim responsibility for stabbings at German festival that killed three people

Terrorist group ISIS has said they are behind the stabbing attack in Germany as "revenge for Muslims in Palestine". Three people were killed on Friday in the city of Solingen with another eight people left injured.

ISIS claims the attacker, who is still on the run, is a "soldier of the Islamic State", who has carried out the attack on a "Christian gathering", reports the Mirror.

However, there was no evidence provided to back their allegations and it has not been confirmed by any authorities if there is a relationship between the attack and the cowardly terrorist group.Live bands were playing in Solingen's market square, known as Fronhof, at the time of the attack.

The festival there was marking the city's 650th anniversary. The towns around 25km from Dusseldorf.Police in Germany said a 15-year-old has been arrested and an investigation to see if they are linked to the attacker is underway.
