A Brit has issued a warning to holidaymakers heading to Ibiza after a severe reaction to a spider bite resulted in him having parts of his fingers amputated.Tom Bush, from Merthyr Tydfil, was living the dream of every 19 year old, two months into a summer break with friends, enjoying drinks and soaking up the sun along the San Antonio seaside.

However, his dream holiday took a sudden turn on July 1, 2021.The "chill" evening began as usual, with Tom and his mates heading down to watch the sunset near Cafe Mambo."I think I had my hand on the rocks and I felt a little prick at the time, nothing major," Tom shared with The Mirror. "I then went out for a few more drinks during the night and was in bed by 11pm." As the hours passed, it became apparent that the small, seemingly harmless prick was actually something serious, reports the Mirror.

Tom said he woke up in the middle of the night in excruciating pain."I woke up at 4am and it felt like my hand was on fire. I really started to panic, my hand was really swollen and blue.

I woke my friends up and they were nervous and panicked too and we went to the pharmacist as soon as it opened and they were like, 'you need to get to a hospital straight away'.""They didn't really know what was happening, because it is so rare.
